  My great nana is in here and she recently went to hospital, the care she received on her return was great everyone was so helpful and friendly informing the family on her condition
  We are very grateful with her care and how she has improved so much
  Heres hoping that she can enjoy another birthday with them all

  Rang up to enquire about respite care. Left a message for care coordinator. No return call received. Subsequently attended facility, received a welcome pack and left another message seeking a call back. Nil. Sent an email providing my details and outline of my enquiry. No response received. Rang up again and left another message. Again, no response from the 'care' coordinator.
  If this simple lack of common courtesy and business acumen by the front of house is indicative of the rest of the facility, then maybe its just as well they wont be caring for my loved ones.

  My late 93 year old grandma wound up being rushed to hospital with severe dehydration as her daily intake of water wasn't met for over 3 days. She had dementia and was unsure whether she is thirsty or hungry until you offer it to her. We asked multiple times to just make sure she is hydrated, offer her water please, and please write down when you visit her so we can keep track. None of this was done and it was a very distressing situation to try and keep track of how she was being tended too when all we wanted to do was visit her and have it be a pleasant occasion for her.
  
  My grandma being dehydrated caused a range of issues; she was taken to hospital & prodded with needles & drip fed, all of which terrified & distressed her. She developed a cellulitis infection in her legs which was dismissed as nothing, I'm not a carer or nurse but I could tell something was very wrong. This cellulitis infection then traveled to her eyes and my dear grandmas eyes were so gunked up and swollen she couldn't read which was her last pleasure in life. The staff lied to my face about having her on eye drops, as the drops were left in her fridge and not even applied to her. 1 nurse told me she was still on them, another told me she was taken off them on the 20th, the real fact is they were never applied to her.
  
  I might add that my grandma had a large deep gash on her arm that was continuously bleeding & nobody could tell me how it happened. In fact, staff had visited her for a couple days and not bothered to ask her or mend it. There was no incident report or call to let us know.
  
  Please don't send your loved ones here, they are simply just a number and are treated as if they are just a bother to the staff. Yes my grandma was 93 but there was no reason her last few months of life had to be so stressful & painful for her

  A beautiful residence with multiple courtyards lovely garden, bigger rooms, lots of fun activities for the clients, buffet breakfast, live concerts and outing on the bus.

  My Mother was a resident at Golden Grove from May 2021 until her death in Jan 2023. Estia states as part of their Principles and Values that they are built on the foundations of a family code “Family, where everyone belongs”yet not one representative could be bothered finding one hour of their time to show their respects at her funeral. Everyone was too busy. Tells you all you need to know.
