  We are regular Woolies customers - we also have Woolworth’s pet insurance - we receive $10 of one a month and also receive 10% of one shop a month - we are however not happy with the lack of cash registers that are open - people are being forced through the self-service area -most staff are friendly and helpful - we have noticed a decline in some product lines and we now have to go elsewhere to purchase those quality products - also very unhappy that the baker has been ‘put of’ and there is low stock in bakery area - there is only one other bakery at the Grove - the flesh flowers and pot plants are not watered and are left to die - rather silly we think!

  I was at the Golden Grove Village Woolworths this afternoon and the service provided by Matthew at the cigarette checkout counter was less than satisfactory. Matthew is a matured man in his 50s or so with grey hair serving at the cigarette counter. After checking out my shopping, he did not asked if I have a reward card. He literally just shouted out the amount owing and when I tried to scan my reward card it would not work and when I told him that, he just said that he was expecting me to pay and begrudgingly corrected the entry on his till so I can scanned my card. To make matter worse he scanned 2 items with the wrong prices. When I approached him to rectify it, he turned to the young female cashier who was serving a customer at the time, and said to her that she can deal with it, while he stands by doing nothing. I have to wait for the young female cashier to finish serving her customers before I was attend to. Meanwhile Mathew was just standing around doing nothing except watching her serving customers. When I asked the cashier who served me why Matthew wouldn't attend to my query when he is not serving anyone? Her response was 'he's just being stupid'.
  I am wondering if this is a case of bullying a younger person just because he could.
  The young cashier did resolved my query and was most helpful.

  Lady with dark curly hair mid 40s will call you out infront of the whole store as a criminal to check your receipt, surely if I was 60 years old with my trolley of shopping I wouldn’t of been embarrassed infront of everyone.. judged by my age and appearance would never shop here again.

  I have visited this Woolies almost weekly for the last few years, and in that time it has achieved the lofty distinction of my least favourite branch. Years ago it was indistinguishable from other stores, but between the staff blocking aisles while chatting and the rotting food congealed down the sides of the self serve checkouts, it has really managed to forge its own identity among other branches.
  Whilst the markup on flavoured milk would suggest the cartons are full of liquid gold or printer ink, it's the bakery which carries the balance of the store's reputation. The quality and flavour of the in house biscuits and cakes are on par with premium brands and often significantly better. Someone back there at the ovens really knows what they're doing.

  The cashier named Amanda was lacking common courtesy out there. She has made me know there are just some people in this world who are so disinterested that they simply don't care about the customers.
